Monica Zent, founder of ZentLaw, is an accomplished entrepreneur, attorney, business leader, and industry pioneer. Decades ago, having observed a market that was ripe for improvement and in need of healthy competition, Monica envisioned a new business model—now widely known as Alternative Legal Service Providers (ALSPs).
In 2002, Monica re-engineered the law firm model to create ZentLaw, introducing innovation at a time when it was largely absent from the legal industry. From subscription legal services and flexible legal talent models to early remote work initiatives and visionary LegalTech solutions, she has continually pushed the boundaries of what is possible in legal services.
As a longtime innovator and seasoned founder with multiple exits, Zent has also driven early LegalTech advancements through ZentLaw Labs, including AI chatbots for legal teams, an AI-powered clause generation engine, and the development of LawDesk360, an AI-powered collaboration platform for legal teams. She is a patented inventor and trusted advisor to some of the world’s largest brands.
